Designing a connected device platform that provides a direct line to your frontline employees
Backboard is a back-restaurant command center that provides an easy way to communicate with your team world-wide. The gestured-based interface, powered by hand tracking, allows employees to browse content and notifications without touching any surfaces.
I lead design on the mobile and TV applications where we create experiences around gestured-based technology. I collaborate with our cross-functional team of engineers and designers to build hands-free interactions and manage a centralized, cross-device, design system between the two applications.
Backboard has a host of modules and integrations that can be tailored to a customers business without any extra legwork. From video libraries to scheduling software and leaderboards, each module gives the business a way to interact with their frontline workers.
Backboard makes it easy to communicate with your team around the world. First, select a module and enter any relevant information, then choose which locations you would like to push the module to. Upon pressing send, their TV Hub will update in real-time and your team will be notified.
