Creating a dynamic content powerhouse that pulls in real-time product data and converts users on the spot.
StockX, is the ‘stock market for things’, which serves as an online marketplace facilitating a simple buying/selling experience of sneakers, streetwear, handbags, watches, and more. I’ve worked with StockX on a number of projects, both internal and external.
Driven by fashion and streetwear culture, StockX needed a marketing platform that allowed them to quickly adapt to new trends. We developed a dynamic blogging system with over 25 modular components (for everything from videos to quizzes) that empowered their marketing team to tell the stories that fueled their explosive growth. The result? A 95% increase in page views and a 80% increase in publishing cadence.
A majority of StockX readers came from mobile devices; which meant that we needed to make sure our layouts and modules meshed well with phones. This was a particularly hard challenge given the dynamic nature of the website and its elements. Ultimately, we came up with an adaptive design system that allowed for some fun article layouts.
In many of StockX's articles, they feature products that are sold on their marketplace. This product plug was a wonderful opportunity to capture viewers and send them to StockX proper. Through some trials, we designed and built a variety of modules that sourced real-time data from Stockx.com, enhancing the blog's capabilities and giving it a timeless feel.
